Klarity SRS Masks
ABOUT
Klarity SRS Masks are specifically designed to help achieve precise patient positioning for Stereotactic Radiosurgery. The two-piece mask system allows for both anterior and posterior support while providing a 0-4mm range of adjustment at each pin location.
Simple Shim System™
Klarity SRS Masks use the Simple Shim System, a reliable, easy to use shimming system. It uses a familiar shimming concept to shim up or down in 1mm increments at each individual pin location. The height between the posterior and anterior mask can be adjusted between 0-4mm by adding or removing shims. The result is an intuitive shimming technique for secure, customizable treatment.
Single Shim System
We’ve created an even easier shimming option with our Single Shim System. Our 1mm shims can be placed on the rear mask to start (we recommend beginning with 2 shims so you can shim up or down between 0-4mm). The Single Shim creates an even height across all pin locations. Should you need to adjust the shim height at any individual pin location, you can swap out the single shim for individual shims instead (Simple Shim System™).
Klarity Blue™
Klarity’s top and bottom SRS masks are made of Klarity Blue, our premiere thermoplastic. Klarity Blue is extremely strong with the highest level of rigidity for the most stable and precise setup. Super smooth molding creates a beautiful, form-fitting mask with an efficient cooling time.
Klarity BiteLok™
Klarity SRS masks are compatible with the Klarity BiteLok, an optional immobilization tool to further decrease patient movement and augment tissue sparing capabilities. When using the BiteLok, the anterior SRS mask is placed over the BiteLok, indexing the mouthpiece to the mask. Additional accessories are available, including two sizes of tongue depressors, and right and left tongue diverters. Special instructions for using the BiteLok with Klarity Blue masks are included with the IFU.

Single Shim System
Single Shims are an optional variation for Klarity SRS Mask Sets. Single shims can be placed on the rear mask for easy, even shimming. Shims are 1mm each and can be adjusted between 0-4mm.

How to prepare the Klarity SRS Mask
Insert 6 pins into the top mask. When inserted properly, the pin will be retained inside the mask frame.
Pull up on the pin so that the top mask can connect with the bottom mask.
Place the desired number of shims on the bottom mask pin locations. We recommend starting with two shims per pin. This will give flexibility to increase shims up to four (4mm) or decrease down to zero (0mm). Each shim is 1mm.
Heat and mold the bottom mask per usual (oven or waterbath); let cool. Heat and mold the top mask per usual; let cool.
