Thermoplastic Comparison Chart

Klarity Masks are a higher standard for thermoplastic masks.

Klarity offers four types of thermoplastic: Klarity Blue™, Klarity Green®, Klarity LiteGreen™, and Klarity White™.  Each type of thermoplastic has been specifically designed for optimal fixation with each frame-type and are available in varying thicknesses, sizes, and perforation patterns. Our thermoplastic is stronger, less-sticky, and has less shrinkage than all other standard masks.

Klarity White™ is our original thermoplastic and continues to be the standard for much of the world today. Klarity White™ has a fast set-up for a strong thermoplastic mask. Klarity White™ is less sticky than other standard thermoplastics.

Klarity LiteGreen™ is our preferred thermoplastic for 3- and 5-point systems. It is non- stick, so the edges can be pulled apart if they touch, and it drapes nicely for an incredibly easy molding experience. Klarity LiteGreen™ is only available in 2.4mm with a microperforation pattern, which makes this mask stronger than other reinforced thermoplastic.

Klarity Green® is our best selling, signature thermoplastic and is our recommended thermoplastic for most applications. It has less shrinkage and is non-stick, so edges can be pulled apart if they connect. Klarity Green® features a slightly longer working-time (30 extra seconds). This means therapists don’t have to rush and can create a more carefully molded mask, which allows for a more comfortable patient experience.

Klarity Blue™ is our strongest thermoplastic, and is our preferred material for therapists desiring an extremely rigid setup. It also has the least amount of shrinkage. Klarity Blue™ sets up quite fast, making this ideal for therapists looking for a speedy set-up, or for patients who need limited immobilization time. Klarity Blue™ drapes gently for smooth, straightforward mask making.
